Overview
Your most favorite roar is back in new dimension and considered as one of the most admired Disney animated musicals -- The Lion King is now in 3D. It presents the chronicle of a lion cub's journey to adulthood and recognition of his royal destiny.

Originally, the Lion King is a 1994 American animated film produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and released by Walt Disney Pictures. It was directed by Roger Allers and Rob Minkoff. It is the 32nd feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics series and the film was produced throughout a period well-known as the Disney Renaissance.

Its songs were written by composer Elton John and lyricist Tim Rice, with an original attain by Hans Zimmer. It has earned over $899 million worldwide as of 2011.

Short details of the story
Simba begins life as an honored prince, the son of the commanding King Mufasa. The cub's joyful childhood turns disastrous when his evil uncle, Scar, kills Mufasa and drives Simba missing from the kingdom. In cast out, the young lion becomes befriends with the ridiculously bumbling pair of Pumbaa the warthog and Timon the meerkat that live in a untroubled jungle life.

As he approaches adulthood, however, he is visited by the spirit of his father, who instructs him to overcome the despicable Scar and retrieve his lawful throne. Borrowing elements from Hamlet, classical mythology, and African folk tales, The Lion King tells its mythic coming-of-age tale with a mixture of impressive visuals and lively music.
